For 15+ years, I've practiced in-house public relations and brand communications. Words are like ripe tomatoes.
A juicy, ripe tomato is bursting with possibility. Even a small one has some heft, when held in your hand. A single, hearty bite fills your senses. And when tomatoes are just right, you can't get enough.

That's how words are, for me. I have been a ferocious reader and hopeful-one-day writer since I was a child. With a busy career in communications, and a rich family life, it's been too easy to put off focusing on writing seriously, for far too long. The slowdown caused by the pandemic has afforded me the time to focus on several writing projects, including a children's book, poems, observational essays, and short stories. I intend to make space for writing from now on, even when daily life picks up again.
